<p>I can’t really write poetry</br>
I honestly think I hate poetry</br>
There’s something weird about being honest or genuine</br>
I can code html, I can write fiction</br>
But the second I’m honest, all fails</br>
Perhaps it’s because my heart was always sealed</br>
In one-hundred-thousands layers of plastic wrap</br>
Put onto styrofoam and sold</br>
For five dollars at a shop.</br>
See, I was going for a metaphor</br>
But it made no sense</br>
That’s why I’ve decided, as silly as it may be</br>
To never write poetry.</br>
